I am so excited to be returning to Dance Spectrum as a teacher this year! My love for dance began right here at the studio when I was just two years old. Over the past 14 years, Dance Spectrum has been a place of encouragement, growth, and lifelong friendships. The incredible teachers, dancers, and families within this community have had such a positive impact on my life, and I truly wouldn’t be the person I am today without them.

A little about me: Since graduating in 2024, I have spent nine years dancing competitively in large groups, small groups, duets, trios, and solos. I have trained in Jazz, Pointe, Ballet, Acro, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip-hop, Tap, and Musical Theatre. I have completed my RAD Ballet examinations, including Grade 8 Ballet and Advanced 2 Vocational Ballet, and was honoured to receive the Most Outstanding Jazz Dancer award for the 2023–2024 season. I also recently completed my Module One Acro teaching certification and am excited to bring these new skills into my classes.

Outside of the studio, I am entering my third year at Mount Royal University, where I am pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems. I also serve as the Financial Executive for the Mount Royal Cubs Dance Team. This role has given me the opportunity to help grow the university dance program while choreographing routines for both court performances and competitions. Whether performing pom routines on the court or competing on stage, I am grateful to be part of a team that shares my passion for dance.

I can’t wait to share my love of dance with my students! My goal is to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where dancers of every level feel confident learning, growing, and expressing themselves. I am incredibly grateful to be part of the Dance Spectrum family once again, and I look forward to making a positive impact while helping each dancer reach their full potential. I can’t wait to meet everyone!

I am so happy to be returning to the wonderful DSi teaching staff for my 24th year! As a DSi dancer, I trained in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Musical Theatre, and Hip Hop. I competed in a variety of disciplines and successfully completed many exams, including top levels of RAD Ballet and ADAPT Jazz.

As a teacher, I hold my ADAPT Teacher Training Certificate and have recently completed my Alixa Flexibility Certification. Over the past 20 years, I have entered students into examinations and choreographed award-winning competitive routines.

I hold both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education degree, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have shared my passion for teaching in the classroom and in the dance studio. I’m also a proud momma of two wonderful little boys!

I feel so grateful to be part of such a supportive and inspiring team, which includes some of my former teachers, lifelong friends I grew up dancing with, and now former students who have become colleagues. I can’t wait for another season of helping our dancers grow their confidence, technique, and love of dance!

I am so excited to be back on Team DSi for my fourth season!

Before graduating as a dancer in 2023, I spent twelve of the best years of my life dancing, learning, and growing to become the person I am today. I trained in jazz, ballet, pointe, tap, musical theatre, and contemporary. After joining the competitive team at the age of nine, I instantly fell in love, competing in jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, and tap. In addition to this, I successfully completed many ADAPT jazz examinations, RAD ballet vocationals, and Al Gilbert tap examinations.

While I truly cherish my time as a dancer, I was lucky enough to spend four years as an understudy sharing my passion for dance and everything I have learned along the way with both competitive and recreational dancers. I was fortunate enough to receive the Mentorship award in the 2021-2022 season and I am incredibly grateful to continue inspiring young dancers as a member of the DSi team. In the fall I will be continuing my studies at the University of Calgary pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

DSi will always be my forever home and I am excited to continue as a part of this incredible community for years to come!

At the age of 3 I took my first dance class and fell in love! Through my years dancing I successfully completed my ADAPT Tap and Jazz exams as well as my Al Gilbert Tap 9 Exam. I was a very competitive dancer in all disciplines. I was fortunate enough to have dance take me to Disneyland, Las Vegas, and Spain but what really excited me as a young dancer was Student Teaching. I knew at a young age that I wanted to be just like my Dance Teachers! So, 21 years ago I started teaching and found my passion!

I graduated from TTS, the ADAPT Tap and Jazz teaching school as well as Acrobatic Arts. I am now entering my 16th year as a teacher at DSi! I feel so fortunate to work with such a great team of talented, educated, and passionate teachers. It is the dancers that continue to inspire us and make coming to the studio exciting!

This is going to be a great year, dancers! I can’t wait to see you all in the studio! LETS GO!!!

I am so excited to start my fourth year as a teacher with DSi! I have danced at DSi since I was two and have been competing since I was 10. I have trained in many styles including Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Tap and Pointe. I have completed many RAD ballet examinations as well as ADAPT jazz examinations. I have also had the opportunity to train at Central Memorial High school as part of the PVA dance program, where I learned styles such as, West African, Latin, Vogue, Modern and much more!

In 2023 I graduated with my PD in the Arts Certification from Central Memorial, as well as being awarded “Most Outstanding Ballet Dancer” from DSi. I have successfully completed my RAD Certificate in Dance Teaching, gaining my registered teacher status with the Royal Academy of Dance.

I am absolutely thrilled to return to Team DSi for my third year as a teacher this upcoming season! My excitement is through the roof as I get to come back to my forever dance home and share my love for dance!

Having danced at DSi for as long as I can remember, I’ve cherished every moment of being part of this amazing community and have loved growing up with such incredible people. My experience volunteering as an understudy in class for three years, along with my two years of teaching, has deepened my passion even further for dance and my love for teaching students. I am eager to dive once again back into the heart of what makes DSi so special and to continue contributing to this wonderful family.

A bit about me: I have danced for over 15 years, with a deep love for ballet, lyrical and contemporary styles. I have danced competitively for several years and also successfully completed my RAD Ballet exams, including the Advanced 1 ballet vocational. My dance journey has been a source of joy and growth, and I am eager to share that passion with our students here at DSi. Here’s to another fantastic season ahead. I can’t wait to see all the new and familiar faces and to share in the joy of dancing together!

Miss Corrissa

I am so excited to begin my 14th season as part of the Dream Team at DSi!

My dance journey began over two decades ago, when I started dancing at the age of three, moving to DSi at just five years old. Throughout my training, I completed advanced examinations in Ballet, Jazz, and Tap, including my Advanced 2 RAD Ballet exam and my Advanced ADAPT Jazz exam. I have also trained extensively in Musical Theatre, Pointe, Acro, Contemporary and Hip Hop.

Over the years at DSi, I have been honoured to receive the Most Outstanding Ballet Dancer award, as well as a scholarship to the Triple Threat Dance Convention. Alongside my training at DSi, I had the opportunity to perform with Alberta Ballet in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and with Summerstock Calgary in Hairspray and Legally Blonde. I also spent eight years competing with DSi, earning High Score awards and multiple scholarships throughout my competitive career.

This season marks my twelfth year creating competitive choreography for DSi. Watching my dancers grow both technically and artistically is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. Over the years, my choreography has been recognized with choreography awards, overall placements, and finals qualifications, and this past season I was thrilled to have one of my soloists compete at the provincial level.

As an educator, I hold my Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies through the Royal Academy of Dance, Acrobatic Arts certification through to the Pre Professional 3 level, and certification through the ADAPT Teacher Training School in both Jazz and Tap. These qualifications have allowed me to prepare students for many examinations, and I am proud that so many of my students have achieved outstanding exam results across all levels.

Beyond teaching, I am passionate about creating exceptional experiences for dancers. I serve as the Festival Director of Circo Fest, an international competition celebrating aerial arts, acrobatics, and dance. Through this role, I oversee event planning and operations while collaborating with industry leaders, including Cirque du Soleil and Canada’s National Circus School. I was also previously the Assistant Operations Manager for Acrobatic Arts, where I supported teachers around the world with examinations and certification programs. At DSi, I am proud to be part of the Competition Administration team, helping coordinate schedules, costumes, and countless behind the scenes details that make our competition season a success.

I feel incredibly fortunate to teach at the studio where my own love of dance began, and I look forward to another season of inspiring confidence, celebrating achievements, and helping every dancer reach their full potential. I can’t wait to see what this season has in store!

Miss Francine

Let’s go Team DSi! I am so excited and so happy to be on this amazing team as a teacher! (yay team tap!) I graduated from Dance Spectrum in 2023, having completed the Al Gilbert Syllabus to the Tap 8 level, and receiving Most Outstanding Tap Dancer from DSi as well. In my last year competing with DSi, I was very grateful to receive the Carol Nielsen Memorial Scholarship for my self-choreographed solo. I returned to classes in 2025 to complete the Al Gilbert Tap 9 level.

Being a tap dancer has brought me so many lovely opportunities that I am extremely grateful for. In the past few seasons, I have traveled to Austin, TX., Chicago, IL., Orange County, CA., and Los Angeles, CA., where I had the opportunity to participate in masterclasses, choreographic residencies, and learn from a multitude of incredible teachers and musicians. This summer, I attended Sarah Reich’s Tap Music Project in LA and Rhythm World in Chicago. I cannot wait to share what I have learned from these exciting experiences with my students at DSi!

For the past 5 years, I have trained under the direction of Tasha Lawson with the Tri-Tone Rhythm Ensemble to further my knowledge on rhythm tap, improvisation, history, and choreography. While being in the Advanced ensemble, I also completed Tasha Lawson’s Teacher Training program, which allowed me to work closely with the Intermediate division of the Calgary ensemble. I am so passionate about all things tap dance, and I’m so excited to share my knowledge and experiences with the next generation of tap dancers at DSi!

Miss Hallie

I am thrilled to be back for my 8th year of teaching and 4th year on team Front Desk at DSi come fall!

My love for dance began at the age of 3 when I took my first class at DSi, and I haven’t left since. I have had the pleasure of learning Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Lyrical from my co-dance teachers and am honoured to be a part of this team for another year. I had the opportunity to be a dancer and student in the Performing and Visual Arts program at Central Memorial High School from 2016-2019 where I was able to learn Bollywood, Latin, West African, Modern, and Tap and further my skills in styles I was taking at DSi. I also received my PD in the Arts Certificate at Central Memorial after graduating in 2019. I completed both grade 7 and 8 RAD Ballet exams at DSi and was awarded “Most Promising Jazz Dancer” in 2015 by the studio. I competed with the DSi competitive team for 6 years, dancing in large groups, small groups, and solos in Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, and Ballet. I am so grateful to DSi for the opportunities to learn from talented dancers and artists who have positively impacted my style of dance and teaching!

When I am not at the dance studio, I am working at Mount Royal University at the Institute for Community Prosperity!

I am stoked for another spectacular season with the best community of dancers, parents, and teachers throughout this 2026/2027 year!

I am so excited to be back with Team DSi as a teacher for the 2026–2027 season!

My dance journey began at Dance Spectrum when I was just three years old, where I spent 15 years as a student before graduating in 2022. During my time at the studio, I trained in a variety of disciplines, including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and Lyrical, and completed multiple Al Gilbert Tap examinations. I was also a member of DSi’s competitive team for seven years, where I made lifelong memories and found an incredible community that I truly consider my second family. One of my proudest accomplishments was receiving the Most Dedicated Jazz Dancer Award during the 2021–2022 dance season.

This past spring, I graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I am incredibly grateful for the support and encouragement from my DSi family throughout my academic journey! This year, I am excited to continue sharing my passion for dance and teaching at Dance Spectrum while beginning my Master’s in Business Management.

I am so thankful to be part of such an amazing studio, and I can’t wait for another incredible season of learning, growing, and making memories with my DSi family. Go TEAM!

Miss Jayme

I am so excited to be coming back to team DSi this season, only this time, as a teacher! I
graduated in 2026, and will be attending the University of Calgary in the fall for a degree in
sociology. Having grown up at this studio, I am so grateful to be coming back to this
community. I would not be the person I am today without it. While spending the last four years
volunteering as a student-teacher, it is where my love for showing up for younger dancers and being a positive influence on them was sparked! During my time as a student, I trained in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, acro, and musical theatre. I have completed every exam in both the Al Gilbert tap syllabus to level 9, as well as the ADAPT jazz syllabus to the advanced level. I was also incredibly fortunate to be awarded Most Dedicated Tap Dancer in 2024. I began competing at the age 8, and continued for the next 10 years in large and small groups, duos, trios, and solos. Through my time on the competitive stage my passion for performing only grew, and I am very excited to be joining the Tri-Tone Rhythm Ensemble to continue tap dancing under the direction of Tasha Lawson this year! As I step into a new role in the studio, I hope to create an environment that is supportive, inclusive, and FUN!! I can’t wait to be back in the studio dancing with everyone!

Miss Kaitlyn

I’m Kaitlyn Seibold, a movement researcher, performer, choreographer, filmmaker, and educator based in Mohkinstsis (Calgary), AB. I hold a BFA in Dance Performance from Toronto Metropolitan University and an MFA from York University, where I received the Lipson Family Endowment Award for choreographic promise.

I currently teach contemporary dance at Alberta Ballet School and perform with Project InTandem and Ballet Bodies YYC. I also enjoy filmmaking, and this past year premiered my dance film, In My Room, in Calgary. Alongside my artistic career, I’m entering my final year of Osteopathic Manual Therapy studies at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy.

I’m so excited to return for my third season with the DSI family! I absolutely love teaching and choreographing at DSI and supporting young dancers as they grow in confidence, creativity, and artistry. I can’t wait for another season of creating, exploring, and moving together!

Miss Karly

…a.k.a. “Miss K”. I am thrilled to be spending my 24rd year as a DSi instructor. Dance Spectrum has been my home for 32 years now training in a “spectrum” of disciplines. As a dancer, I successfully completed many ADAPT Jazz, Al Gilbert Tap and RAD Ballet exams. I also dove into the world of competitive dancing at age 8, competing in a wide range of styles around Canada and the US. Now I share my love of Tap, Contemporary and Strength and Conditioning with my beautiful students. One of my favorite parts of being a dance teacher is successfully preparing students for exams and competitions.

When I am not at DSi I’m at Studio 85 Movement + Wellness, my own Wellness Center. Inspired by Miss Wendy owning my own small business has been a dream of mine for years and now I not only get to share my love of dance I also get to share my love of fitness/yoga, preventative health, wellness and business!!

Bring on the new season! I was lucky enough to grow up at DSi where my admiration for dance started and where I received the love and encouragement to pursue my passion! I have gained a respected reputation within Toronto’s dance community for over a decade where I spent time dancing professionally, teaching, adjudicating, and choreographing. I have been involved in various film and live theatre performances and found a passion for choreography working at youth, pre-professional, and professional levels. I am a member of the Professional Adjudicators Alliance and have enjoyed working for many competitions all over Canada.

Internationally, dance has taken me many places including New York, Florence, Italy, and Vienna, Austria where I worked with and studied extensively from respected dance educators.

As I progress with my research and development, my enthusiasm to share with the next generation continues. I am forever inspired by my teachers who shaped me. My goal is to share not only the love of dance but the life lessons that those teachers, now colleagues, had taught me all those years ago. I can’t wait to start my seventh season teaching at the place that I cherish so much!

I am so incredibly grateful to be back at DSi for another season!

I grew up performing traditional cultural dances and was fortunate enough to have a dance program be part of my curriculum as I continued through school. My earlier years as a dancer include a background in Locking, Salsa, Bollywood, West African and of course choreography inspired by the Hip-Hop culture. My love for creating and pursuing the choreography route grew as I entered my high school years. Hence where I am now, a choreographer with a vision! Over a decade later, I continue to work on honing my craft by training across Canada, as well as travelling to Los Angeles, San Diego, New York, and London.

My competitive career as a dancer has also allowed me to compete on international platforms such as Hip-Hop International Qualifiers in Ottawa, to World of Dance Edmonton, Vancouver, and Las Vegas. I’m also grateful to have been granted opportunities such as performing at the Juno Awards for Alessia Cara and receiving scholarship opportunities through World of Dance. Most recently, I was a backup dancer for A$AP Rocky on his Calgary stop for his world tour!

I have had the BEST training grounds to hone my skills as a teacher, and I owe all that to my years at DSi. To still be here, watching generations grow up and take the stage as their own, has been such a fulfilling feeling in pursuing this crazy journey. As corny as it sounds, I believe team work really does make the dream work. I may provide the recipe and ingredients, but it truly is the talent at DSi that brings so much of what I create to fruition. I’m stoked to be bringing in my own style along with the fundamentals of Hip-Hop back to the studio. Let’s see what the “Green Legacy” will be this season – LET’S GO TEAM GREEN!

Miss Sarah S. (ARAD, PDTD, RTS)

I am thrilled and privileged to be a part of the wonderful DSi team for my fifth year. I am excited to see the students grow and flourish as they work towards their true potential as dancers.

Originally from England, I trained professionally at the Northern Ballet School, graduating with a Diploma in Professional Dance, and receiving the “Best all-rounder” award. I am an associate of the Royal Academy of Dance (ARAD) having completed Advanced RAD (1&2). I also passed Advanced ISTD and IDTA Ballet, Modern and Tap, Advanced ISTD National Character Dance, and IDTA Graduate Ballet Teaching Certificate, all with honours.

For 11 years I had a varied and continuous professional dance career throughout the world, gaining an in-depth knowledge and expertise of all genres of dance. I have been understudy to Pamela Anderson in  Aladdin (The Liverpool Empire and New Wimbledon Theatre), performed lead roles in On Eagles Wings (Irish Tour) and Irish Wings (Dutch Tour), Hans Klok -The Beauty of Magic and  Faster than Magic (Las Vegas and European Tours), Queen Mary II (Inaugural cast-world cruise), Pacific Princess and Celebrity Infinity cruise liners, lead Irish dancer in  Fire of Dance (European Tour) and  Essence of Ireland (UK tour), lead role in Spirit of the Dance (U.S, European, Far East tours & Las Vegas), Nabucco (Manchester Opera House and Royal Albert Hall), Godspell (Jazz Galore Dance Co), Singin’ in the Rain (Manchester Song and Dance Company), The Nutcracker, Coppélia and Giselle (Manchester City Ballet), and in various television programs and commercials.

I completed the Professional Dancers Teaching Diploma (PDTD) course at the Royal Academy of Dance in London, where I gained Registered Teacher Status (RTS) and moved to Calgary where I have been teaching students at various schools including Alberta Ballet School since 2011.

I am excited to be able to work with the students at DSi to motivate and inspire and help instill a love of dance by passing on my knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion for ballet. I am a mother of three and the founder of Balletiques through which I teach a ballet-inspired fitness program that I designed and Silver Swans™ ballet classes to adults.

Miss Sarah V.

Competition Director/ Teacher

This is my 27th year as part of DSi’s amazing teaching staff! I grew up dancing here at the studio and have been sharing my love of dance with the Dance Spectrum students ever since.

As a dancer, I had the opportunity to compete in multiple disciplines, both locally and throughout the United States. I also successfully completed the highest-level exams in both ADAPT Jazz and RAD Ballet. Some of my very best memories—and lifelong friendships—were made through dance.

As a teacher, I have been preparing students for exams and competitions for the past 25 years. I earned my RAD Teaching Certificate with Distinction and am a recognized member of the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus and the non-profit Wild Rose Dance Arts Association. I also hold a Master of Counselling Psychology, which has strengthened my ability to support, encourage, and connect with my students both inside and outside the studio.

While Ballet and Jazz have always been favourites of mine, over the years I have also fallen in love with teaching Lyrical, Acro, and Stretch & Strength. I love creating and feel incredibly lucky that choreography is my creative outlet. Teaching dance isn’t just what I do, it’s my true passion.

I am continually inspired by my students and feel so grateful for the privilege of watching them grow, not only as dancers but as confident, resilient young people. Dance Spectrum means so much to me. It is a true community—my family away from home. I’m also a proud mom of two little girls, and I will always be a “dance mom” to my studio kids. Helping them discover confidence, joy, and a love of movement is the most rewarding part of what I do.

Miss Wendy

I grew up dancing in Calgary and found my love for teaching at an early age. After opening DSi in 1994, I have been so privileged to teach so many wonderful individuals. I have seen students grow from Preschool to the highest levels of dance, graduate High School, University, get married and now have their own kids as students at DSi!

Over the years I have travelled with students to Chicago, New York, Boston, Orlando, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Disneyland. I am so proud of former students who’ve continued their love of dance. Their accomplishments include: working with artists such as Madonna, Adele and Ed Sheeran, working on numerous T.V., film and stage projects, acceptance into Juilliard, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and even performing at the Oscars!

I am equally proud of my former students who have turned into exceptional DSi staff members and award-winning choreographers, now sharing their own passion for dance with our DSi students.

I feel so incredibly lucky to see our amazing community continue to thrive – year after year, generation after generation. Welcome to season 33 at DSi!
