Most classes for ages 3 and up run for 10 months (September to June). We also run 8 week sessional classes for our parented Small & Tall (ages 2-3) and sessional Adult classes.

Yes, we have a $45 annual registration fee per dancer. This is a one-time, non-refundable administrative fee.

We have many options for dancers who are just starting out or who have had some experience in dance but would like to get back into it. Classes with prerequisites will have a note with this specification and can be found on each individual class when you Browse by Age or Style. Most classes for dancers ages 9 and under are suitable for beginners. Newer dancers can join their age group up until this point and catch up quickly. We have more specialized classes for dancers aged 10 and up, who are looking to start dancing and want to dance with others of the same age/ability level. You can register by clicking on the Register Now button found on the homepage, or you can register for a specific class by clicking on the Register button beside the individual class within the Browse by Age or Browse by Style class schedule.

Each class has a different monthly tuition based on length of time 45 minutes versus 60 minutes. The cost of each class is on the chart found within the Browse by Age section.

Payment for tuition can be made by Credit Card or Automatic Debit. This is a monthly withdrawal on the 1st of every month August – May (Please note: your August payment is tuition for your June classes and is non-refundable). Full Year payments can also be made, please contact us at FrontDesk@DanceSpectrumCalgary.com to request this option.

Calgary has two great local retail options: City Dancewear (2 locations) and Bodythings.
DSi also holds an annual Used Shoe Sale at the end of August and/or beginning of September. Families submit gently used character skirts and dance shoes for sale at a reduced cost. If you miss the Used Shoe Sale, there is an inventory list that can be accessed throughout the season. Check in with our friendly front desk team at the office for more information.

We always try to assist you in finding a class that might better suit your dancer. Class changes can be made up until mid-February. We are happy to provide more information about potential class options. Please feel free to contact our office at any time.

In the event that you would like to discontinue your registration for the season, we have a Hassle-Free Withdrawal Policy. If you wish to withdraw your child from class at any time, just send us a quick email with your request to FrontDesk@DanceSpectrumCalgary.com. After the email notification is received, the automatic payments will end.

Please note: Notice to withdraw must be received at least 48 hours prior to the 1st of the following month to avoid the next month being charged in full.

Tuition is payable regardless of attendance. You may contact the office to schedule a makeup class. Our friendly front desk team will work with you to find a comparable substitute class option.

Most classes participate in both our in-studio Winter Presentation (January) and our Spring Showcase (June); two great opportunities to gain performance experience! Please note that dancers order a costume for the Spring Showcase, and this is an additional cost for the dance season.

The tuition fees are posted a few days prior to the 1st of each month and are charged on the 1st. Please note that it may take a few days for these charges to be reflected in your bank account/credit card depending on business days, weekends, holidays and individual banks.

We have a 10-month payment plan that runs August – May. The August monthly fee is a non-refundable deposit of your June payment. You will not be charged a tuition fee in June.

We do! We start this optional program with our Spectrum Minis competitive program (5-6 year olds), progressing to our Spectrum Juniors competitive program (7-8 year olds), and also offer a more comprehensived program starting at age 9 and up.
