Shannon Lynch | Registered Nurse/Graduate student at Dalhousie

Favorite DSI memory: There are too many to pick just one! I have to say being constantly reminded to “tuck in the po-po”, and “whack it back” will stay with me well into my 80’s. The excitement of competition season was electrifying. Ballet exams were made tolerable by teachers who took extra time to secure buns, and fix pointe shoe ribbons. Jazz classes were never complete until one of us had kicked so hard that we ended up on the floor. I loved it all!

Life after DSI: Nowadays, I am in Halifax, working as a Registered Nurse. I am in graduate school at Dalhousie working towards my Nurse Practitioner. I still take ballet classes recreationally. I love ballet, pilates, and running! I’m always excited to see where my travel adventure will take me (suggestions, anyone?!)!
